Jack is a very experienced musician. He started taking piano lessons from his dad at the age of five.
Jack played flute in the high-school marching band and orchestra. He made All-State Choir as a tenor while in high school. Jack's major at Baylor University his first two years was Music Education, with a vocal emphasis. (He later changed his major to Communications.)
Jack has been very active in church music programs since he was a child. Over the years, he has played piano and sung at many weddings, special events, church functions, etc.
Jack has also entertained at dozens of fine restaurants, hotels, and piano bars in Austin, Dallas, and Houston. (He can perform about 500 popular songs, ranging from the 1940s till recent hits.)
In Austin, Jack's long-term gigs included the Onion Creek Country Club, Toulouse Night Club, Old San Francisco Steakhouse, the Radisson Hotel, and the Capital Marriott.
In Dallas, Jack entertained at such places as the Lincoln Radisson Hotel.
In the Houston area, Jack has had long-term gigs at such places as Cavatore Italian Restaurant, Mangola's Italian Restaurant, and Sullivan's Steakhouse. He was one of the entertainers during the Grand Opening of Vic & Anthony's Steakhouse (an upscale restaurant located near Minute Maid Park, owned by the Landry's Corporation.) He has also entertained at Cafe Le Jadeite.
In the Galveston Bay / Clear Lake area, just outside Houston, Jack has performed for extended gigs at Sundance Grille, Tiki Bay Bar & Grill, and Rosetti's Italian Restaurant. He has also entertained in the area at Pepper's Steakhouse, Emily's Restaurant, Moonwater Grill, and the Riviera Restaurant. Jack has sometimes been seen entertaining at Claudio's, a popular piano bar and Italian restaurant in Kemah, when Claudio has taken breaks.
Jack prefers to play on a real piano, but he also has a portable Yamaha keyboard.
