Jack is a widely published freelance writer. His columns and articles have appeared in over 100 newspapers and magazines across the US.
For many years, Jack wrote opinion columns about politics, social issues, religious matters, and other related topics for many newspapers. During that time, he wrote a weekly column called "Texas Topics," which regularly appeared in 25 newspapers across Texas, and which appeared on at least an occasional basis in approximately 65 newspapers, including the Austin American-Statesman, the Dallas Morning News, the Houston Post, and the San Antonio Light.
Jack's opinion columns about a wide variety of issues have been published in many major newspapers across the nation, including USA Today, Wall St. Journal, Los Angeles Times, and the Chicago Tribune. Many other national publications have carried Jack's articles, including National Review, Human Events, and Christianity Today.
In recent years, Jack has moved away from writing political commentaries. Now, his writing focuses on such topics as arts, entertainment, dining, recreation, and travel. Jack's freelance articles have ranged from concert reviews in local newspapers to a SCUBA diving article for Alert Diver magazine.
Jack's published columns and articles have resulted in his being invited as a guest on numerous local, statewide, and national radio and TV shows.
